Iliana holds a Masters of Liberal Arts (ALM) in Museum Studies from Harvard University, a B.A. in History from California State University, San Marcos, and a Professional Certificate in Library Sciences from Cuesta College. She has years of experience working with and managing historic house museums.

Currently, Iliana focuses her work on serving small history museums, cultural organizations, private collectors, and family historians by helping them care for their collections and facilitating engagement with the past. She is particularly interested in guiding interpretation and collection care practices and providing tools for preservation and storytelling for communities often underrepresented by traditional museum spaces and practices. She has a special place in her heart for historic house museums.
