Family historians, you are my people! If you are like me, you probably have boxes and boxes filled with photographs, old recipes, older letters, journals and scrapbooks books hanging by a thread. And if you are like me, you probably want to keep those treasures safe while making them accessible for your family and friends (whether they want it or not, am I right?!). These projects bring me such joy, and I can’t wait to set you on a path to taking your family historian status to the next level!
History Keeper Services
History Keep Consultations include one hour of time to unpack your stuff! Well maybe not all of it, but let’s consider it a show and tell, of sorts. Show me what you’re working with. Once I understand what you have in your family history collection, what tools you have available to you, and what your goals are, I can help you formulate a plan and make recommendations for moving forward, whether that is creating a Family History Catalog with me, or taking a DIY approach. Future consultations can include help with documentation and cataloging, help curating and printing digital and tangible family history books, and more.
($50/Hour)
Family History Catalog- Set up digital catalog for you (and additional members of your family, if you choose) to add images, recipes, memories, and stories.I will also develop a starting “vocabulary” list for added consistency, and include an instruction manual for how to keep your catalog clean, clear, and beautiful! Includes digitization and beginning documentation for up to 50 photographs or ephemera.
($350- Includes 1 year of catalog service subscription, additional years are $150/year, or export data after 1 year for free).
Additional Digitization and Cataloging Services- Leave the scanning, cropping, rotating, and uploading to me! Using the vocabulary we’ve developed together, combined with traditional museum documentation methods, we will have your photographs, greeting cards, letters, and recipes uploaded to preserve and share in no time at all!
($100 for up to 50 items, limited to items that can be scanned flat only. Additional fees available for larger material items such as heirlooms).
Family History Books- Your treasures have been scanned to your Family History Catalog, your nearest and dearest have added their recollections and memories, and you’re ready to create something magical— a Family History Book. We will work together to curate a selection of images, memories, and stories to include in your very own printed (digital options available) book. These are perfect for keeping on a coffee table, or giving to other family members as gifts.
